I cannot for the life of me understand the criticism here. There is a threat to our national security and debate has been raging as to what, if any, changes need to be made to protect us. The problem is that with each bit of extra security comes a little erosion in personal freedom. If you make no changes then you are weak and kowtowing to the Muslim community at the expense of white Australia. If you make too many or the wrong changes then you are guilty of introducing a "big brother" society. Either that or you are deliberately creating fear and division for your own political gain. It's lose/lose for whoever is the PM at the moment.

So decisions must be made to get the balance right and it is hard to know where to draw the line. Thus we have debate....in this case to ban the burqa in parliament or not?? One thing we should remember is that there has been a specific threat by ISIS against parliament house. It's one thing to criticize the government for knee jerk responses but imagine if it was your place of work that was specifically targeted by ISIS. Now imagine a couple of people walk into your office dressed in burqas. The first words that would go through your head would be "oh, no!!". The second words that would go through your head would be "Dang, why don't I keep a spare pair of undies in my desk drawer"
