I just wanted to highlight this because the religious extremist who relies on the purely literal translation would apply it as Fat Bloater did, failing to extract the principles due to their ignorance in logical principles. It is absurd to suggest that a language can whole be interpreted in pure a literal sense, when the richness of language involves metaphorical, rhetoric, etc. this is evident in english and even more so in arabic and thus the requirement for an expert in jurisprudence to extract laws.
