re: re:depression coming soon-property
Hi this is it,
I think you're referring to the "cut and paste" exert which was from xerxes_ph and copydog's posts. It wasn't me attending those auctions.
Nevertheless, the same thing is going on here in Melbourne. Auctions these days are more of a circus where families and individuals can gather together, socialise, have a bit of a laugh and even have a coffee from the mobile cuppacino machine. I don't think anyone is concerned as they are not handing over real cash, it's the banks, so who cares if you pay an extra 50-100 grand for a dump.
Also, what can be considered a bargain may not always be the case. Why were there no bids at the auction? That to me is a clear cut sign that what they want for the property is way too much.
I am mainly attending auctions in the inner south east: Malvern, Armadale, Caulfield, Glen Iris, Carnegie, Murrumbeena, Chadstone, Burwood, Mount Waverley and a several others. You sometimes get to see a vast contrast between the suburbs, even if they are separated by a street.
