Big companies move slow, speedboats like FAR pick up the gems and outpace the big boys, one day when we get big - we might be slow too. Cairn would have been nimble in its day - not a slow moving conglomerate.
The same happens in the finance houses etc. The likes of FARJOY beat the big boys to the spoils.

I have a day job, but would love to do more around trading and the finance space.

I don't think I could be a daytrader full-time - did a lot more trading years ago and worked out overtime that I was gambling. I almost made it big as I shorted the US market prior to the GFC and chose a 3 month short instead of a 6 month short - my shorts disintegrated and I lost a lot of money, had I chose 6 months I wouldn't be here. I wouldn't of had to work again. What I learnt through that is that timing is everything.

FAR could be life-changing for you, I too have a lot in the company - it is a risk, but of course I think the upside is worth it. Trading like this is not for everyone, if you don't have the stomach for it - or pressure from the better half tell her to pack her bags and piss off. (Just kidding unpack it mate and do what is best for the both of you.

Not many companies make it to where FAR has and not many make it to where they could be, it is still fraught with risk - however nothing good is easy and nothing easy is good. Pressure makes diamonds, be resilient and if you believe in it persist.
