Far Forum Guidelines

Prior to the big FAN-1 announcement the FAR Forum ran like a well oiled information machine which was able to deliver informative responses on O&G industry, FAR history etc.

At times, people (like me infact) would post which is off topic, lacking quality information. Im not singling anyone out, as I am just as guilty at times. I still think we should be able to have talk trash! casual discussion, but would love to see this place retain many of its key players which make this a great place to chat about all things FAR.  

No one needs a forum police which sets rules to mess up peoples fun. I get that. Im probably not the best person to even come up with a complete list, as their are many LT'ers with a better idea of this forums inner workings.

So Im going to suggest coming up with a list with a few rules guidelines that I would think make this forum better awesome!. Many of these are normal thread rules which make other forums work. These are just suggests, so feel free to insert, delete, modify etc. I won't mind much

1. Check to see if a current thread exists before creating another duplicate thread
Today there was 3 threads stating how Farjoy Increased holding to 10%... Plus the HC ASX Ann: Change in substantial holding. The three which were created were not used and people instead mainly posted under the ann.
This is just plain common sense on an online forum... Check to see if a thread exists first.

Yeah, the SP action was wild today also. I am one of those suckers who loves to watch every tick of the share market, others here have stated that they aren't. I strongly believe we should be able to comment about the SP ( It is Stock Market Forum after all) .... But Lets create one thread each day to watch the SP price. Perhaps thursdays thread can be "SP Activity Thursday", "SP Activity Friday" etc.

That leads me to my next point...

2. Title the thread so people know what it means Before opening it
Needs no explanation

3. If you aren't sure about something, ask and try not to speculate too much.
There is a wealth of knowledge here, people want to help ask, Don't speculate. Include your sources.

4. Lists are banned under all circumstances (Thanks AquaM )

Ok, feel free to comment, add etc. Tell me if you think... We can make this a better place... and we need things to flow as we move towards SNE-1
