I think that the chartists are in the driving seat. The bounce off near $1180 was impressive.

But a fundamental factor has entered calculations that should push gold higher again. Everyone has assumed that the FOMC would raise US rates sometime soon and now the minutes released last night have caused a lot of people to reassess.
