The most creative thing JIN has done is writing off the bad investment in Sorteo Games without a charge against the bottom line. Would have just about taken out the whole profit for the year. Bet Alan Joyce wishes he could have handled the Qantas write backs the same way!
No doubt there are some accumulated development costs for Mexico in the intangible assets so they will keep saying they are expecting it to start to avoid writing those costs off. Hard to see how that write off won't be against profit unless Mexico starts performing and there is no indication it will.
Still no evidence of successful non lottery sales to the much vaunted big database in Australia - without non lottery sales the database isn't worth much if Tatts start to muscle JIN out.
Shouldnt assume that an agreement in one state with Tatts allows sales in other states either - tied up with revenues for the state governments! AFAIK JIN can't sell in Qld for this reason!
IMO all the future is in Germany - it has to work big time or JIN's future is diabolical.
