re: political football like caz? Its political but prob more difficult than the CAZ story in my opinion. CAZ is really a case of 2-up; either its a yes or no and either way, one company will win; doesnt even involve the citizens.

In the case of Terramin in Angas, I do believe from the recent developments that whilst the decision could be mired in red tape, it does appear that the minister for mines will probably approve it unless there is some other executive power to stop him. The main theme (from the post i did) is that whilst the council is doing their darndest best to put their case forward, it seems clear that all the necessary work as required by law has been completed. WIth every project, there is never happy parties all round. In the case for Angas, all the necessary has been put into place and as mentioned before also, to say No to the mine after all this work is simply a lack of common sense.

Its a strange idea but I am of the opinion that the longer this drags on, the importance of Angas to the future growth in the SP will be diminished. If Angas proves difficult, the logical step would be for them to look to developing Algeria as well as drill Menindee to a result ... which HAS to be coming out soon one would think; given the months of round the clock drilling.

I know that Algeria falls into one of those countries where security is an issue but as many miners have done or are planning to do; setting up operations in foreign lands are not so difficult anymore. Sure there are risks but having the government shareholder is surely one way to mitigate political risk IMO!

I'm going to hang on to my reduced holding for a few more months while we wait for news to come by. I expect that a negative Angas will be bad (short term) but if they can back up with Algeria and also Menindee, then this should be worth at least $1 in 6 months time. Thats my target price at the moment.
