alan...a question for you Alan,
My view is that terrorism is never justifiable, but how you define terrorism is critical I suppose?
Agreed
You are quite correct, we could raise some of the events that occurred in British Palestine in 1948 prior to the creation of Israel but that would open up another can of worms.
Why? We can always learn from the past. No one is saying mistakes were never made.
I think we have more than enough to deal with already. But maybe revisting some of those events your world will seem less black and white, maybe a shade in between?
My world is not black and white. Those of us who have shared the experiences of WW2, wondering where are all of our relatives, if they were not as many deniers would have you believe, killed. Where are they?
My grandparents, up in smoke.....Not yours. You know where they are buried. If they are still alive, I wish them a long and healthy life).
Where are my uncles and aunts. Up the chimney....Not yours, though.
Where are my cousins? Up the chimney....But not yours.
And even the survivors that one speaks to today, where are their kids, their wives? Up the chimney or in some unmarked grave, that no one will ever find......But you know where your kids are.
So please don't come back to me with this black and white stuff.
If anything it might look black and white to you, because you, fortunately have never experienced what we did, and please god you never will.
I look through kaleidescope of life. I see the double standards, in perfect colour.
As for the wine and poison metaphor, sorry, it went right over my head. Can you paint me a picture? I'm only a simple soul.
Go away and think about it. Nothing went over your head, other than a black and white pidgeon. Simple?.......No, you're not simple.
Just thank god that you're not an Iraqi living in a hell of a country. Thank god that you're not an Israeli who is forced to do what he has to do, to survive and thank god you are not a Palestinian, cursed with a leadership that cares nothing for them other than a place in history and millions in Swiss bank accounts.
