That didn't last long, sp appears to be pretty much back were it started prior to the announcement
One can surely say that the possibility of near term cashflow is a positive but unfortunately none of this can be quantified beyond the fact that there is 20,000t of ore.
IMO the company has again missed an opportunity to inform the market fully. 2 key points are missing....
When?
How Much?
No doubt CDU has run the numbers based on a range of grades and recovery rates and other parameters such as transport costs. Surely the company could have provided a date for delivery, a date for payment and a range of figures for profit margin p/tonne.
The business regarding exports to smelters in China is simply baffling, previous announcement was interpreted by most as it being on the water.
The crushing circuit will be ready "soon", how many times can they trot that one out????????
Why are they considering fast tracking mining rates when commodity price is low?
Mixed signals all over the place !
On the upside, CDU may learn valuable lessons about the nature of its ore and how it reacts to processing. This has potential to smooth the commissioning of the plant.
Communications remain opaque and the sp remains depressed in a void of solid information regarding timelines, financial metrics and grades of mined ore. imho
