Ebola Immunity

Came across this article about a population in **on in West Africa with an approx. 15% immunity to Ebola... Interesting read.

I read an article recently, but can't find it now, about the link to Ebola and previous plague like diseases that spread through some areas... including one mostly contained in Africa. I wonder if any populations out of Africa have a natural immunity...

I have heard the hypothesis recently that there may be some natural protection for some people in Africa from Ebola... this does however mean that we are not seeing the true extent of infection and what an outbreak would be like in nations that have no natural immunity.
