yes I used to think that also. Turns out that more often than not charts will beat fundamentals.

Often they can pick things only the insiders are aware of - financial problems, issues, problems of other types, or alternatively unusal buying ahead of (unannounced) news.

Whjatever, no one minds the suprise jumps, its the supposedly surprise falls that technical stuff can often save you from.

This may be one, who knows.
