Why wouldn't they issue SWM shares for the 300 million dollars worth of redeemable convertible preference shares to strengthen the balance sheet?
I don't see why SWM would want ten and fairfax to join. Let the competition die and notice a substantial market improvement each time a competitor is removed (for a few years). They are currently best suited to surviving giving their superior ratings. I wouldn't do anything to lose that position.
