They go with the understanding that if they contract the disease that Australia does not have the means to bring them all the way back to Australia for treatment
I think that's what a lot of laborites are missing. If an Australian contracts the virus, they are effectively dead, because it can take up to 30 hours to get back to Australia.
But I don't believe that labor really means what it is saying here. Its more oppose the government regardless of the consequences. I don't know of any mothers who are advocating for volunteers to go.
