I fully agree with you but the damage is done and no member of the board will be held accountable. There will be no financial penalty, they will simply migrate to other mining boards and carry on with business as usual.
In fact most of them sign contracts and if removed are paid a termination benefit again impacting on shareholders.
The current system is wrong, it is a huge expensive process to get rid of a director.
I recall the MD of NMG which went down the gurgler due to mismanagement received a termination payout of almost a million dollars, there is simply no fairness, accountability or redress for shareholders
