The Market Cap it based on the number of shares on issue and the share price.
The share price is controlled by what share holders are willing to sell for their holding for and what buyers are willing to pay for shares.
The sellers and buyers would normally base what they think the current or future value of the company to put a price on the shares, the potential.
However sometimes the market doesnt do this, (Day Trading etc)
Another thing that can have a big impact on the share price is Directors delivering or not delivering on what the expectations of the market are.
So imo the buy / sell stack has a lot to pay attention too.
I would think holders have a stop on their holdings and should the price hit that market just watch it sp fall.
