fattchoi, VCR has an new pump on the way the has TETS technology. As I understand it, it is quite advanced and sure to be more user friendly i.e no wires going through the skin to a battery.

Regarding the size of the LVAD, does a smaller device matter ? The only advantage for a smaller device is that its less intrusive. The real factors is the how it works on humans, something that HTW has yet to prove and it wont be until they undertake many implants that they see how if performs. I'm curious about heat within the pump and thus causing blood damage.
