ACCC finds businesses passing on carbon cost savings.

The competition regulator says businesses are generally acting quickly to roll back prices after the carbon tax repeal.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has released its third carbon monitoring report, looking at the September quarter which was the first period after the tax was repealed.
The ACCC said it received substantiation statements from all 244 businesses it requested one from, plus an additional 39.
It also said that it has received less that 15 per cent of the number of complaints it got when the tax was introduced.
"The ACCC has observed businesses acting quickly to remove carbon tax cost components from prices, with widespread adherence to the reporting and information requirements of the new carbon tax price reduction obligation laws," said the commission's chairman Rod Sims.
