Is this worth discussing ?
If the broker firm demand is any indication of overall demand from public and Instos then how will this IPO perform post listing ?
Comes back to one of my earlier comments on this thread.
This IPO will either shoot the lights out or do really badly. I do not think there is a middle ground .
So, will it be like Google or Alibaba where it does really well or like Facebook which tanked soon after listing. ( All these floats had massive demand pre IPO ) I know we are not talking the same sector but demand is similar . ( On an amusing side, I remember attending a conference and at this session there were a lot of high powered IT people from IBM , Oracle etc. I asked the question whether they thought if Facebook would do well post listing. Their responses were unimpressive and essentially clueless !)
I come back to this point again. With massive demand the contrarian part of me always comes out and says be careful .
Any views ?
