I am not sure any lack of conversion by employees would adversely impact the SP. As mentioned by zabros a lot of Aussie scientists are underpaid (which is why we lose so many to the US and Europe) so maybe they just can't personally afford to cash in? If a CEO was letting options expire that would be viewed badly but as discussed above Geoff was all over his options like a Hipster on a craft beer!
