Okay, so when you are profitable, you pay your debt out of the US $$ that you earned and take the rest home and convert it to more Reals than when the Real was stronger.
But when you are not profitable, you have to convert your saved Reals into USD at a worse exchange rate.
That makes sense.
But wouldn't they also be keeping at least some of their reserves in USD rather than the less than stable Real.
