Retail brokers don't offer them because there is a cost to offering them, and on the whole retail investors don't need them. Shorting is available through all good CFD providers, and some other less good ones too. Anyway, the iceberg has been filled - and a total of 43426 traded @1.28 on the bid on the ASX. Not exactly significant!
