Thanks for the ideas. I tried SS on ipad but it wont these days. I emailed it to self now that I am home...response below...hope you know what post it relates to. I would prefer being bagged out for what it is rather than what it isn't.

    Base salary not changed.

The profits margin hasn't changed either. Maybe when some profit is made then he deserves something. It's not like his package puts him on the bread line.

    Top 50 Percentile band:
Maybe if our revenue and profits were in the top fifty percentile band I would feel differently

    Golden parachute:
With the way the chairman has tied up contracts, he already has his parachute

    Stockholder value:
More Irish talk to me. We have already seen how expertly the share price has been moved around. Pay him bonuses linked directly to net profits only I say .

    Sale of the award share:
More crock. He is the chairman.

Final point. Someone asked why the instos would vote against this?

One reason I can think of is that the instos need to look good for their clients and prospective clients. If I saw them playing the game by filling the pockets of the board, chairman or CEO, I would not invest a cent with them. So, from a marketing perspective, it stands to reason that if they want to show they care about their investors then they should be representing them as such...and not pandering to the big end of AS.

A couple of years ago Greg Hywood (FXJ) earned an $800k bonus. Why, because he reduced costs...I.e. Sacked people. There was no KPI regards to revenue, profit or growth of any kind. I remember someone in management at the time saying the catch call was "do less with less". I understand the chairman had a word and he agreed to take half the bonus...mind you $400k was still too much. Look at it this way, I do not hold a single share today despite the bargain price of 51c.
