It's simple it should be between the Muslims and the companies, leave the other 98% of Australians out of it and leave our food products out of it.
Have a halal section in the supermarket, just like the health food section, the organic section etc etc.
The pricing in the halal section will reflect the extra costs involved in processing and certification etc. The Muslims can then purchase all the halal food they want.
It seems very simple to me.
