Igilug, I think that is the most telling point - ones personal experience in applying the counsel contained in the Scriptures. We are invited to:
(Psalm 34:8) Taste and see that Jehovah is good; Happy is the man who takes refuge in him.
From an academic viewpoint we may come to believe in the historicity as supported by archaeology, the unity of the message shared by all the writers, the agreement with proven science, the unfailing fulfillment of Bible prophecy etc, but it is more so when it touches us personally that we come to believe.
(1 Thessalonians 2:13) Indeed, that is why we also thank God unceasingly, because when you received God’s word, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but, just as it truthfully is, as the word of God, which is also at work in you believers.
