hello ophir
i've watched the first part of the video
it started of with an indian voice, so i thought that this could be a sign that this video could hit some nails on the head
but unfortunately, it's swung in the direction of western thought
and it got carried away, along a garden path, with the concept of existence
and another irrelevant topic about how laws can not cause things to exist or happen
this fallacy arises, because we still stink that there is "things" that exist and that these things are material
i find it somewhat amusing that these intellectuals can not connect the dots that they know about - namely quantum physics
the more that you look at supposed things, the more they are seen to not really exist
and eventually all of the particles turn into waves
this is documented well with the two slit experiment - particle/wave duality
the more that one investigates so-called materiality the more it vanishes
i.e. it was never there in the first place
the perception is only a mental concept
consider the following very carefully
have 'you' ever touched, felt, heard, etc caused, phenomena that does not have any 'physical' counterpart?
was the experience vivid and appeared to be very real?
we all have many times
but, generally speaking (especially from a westernized standpoint) are very good at forgetting.
common usage of the word "existence" conjures up all kinds of misunderstandings
if i watch the rest of the video, it would be nice to see someone like allan watts or the dalai lama talking.
but from the direction that the video appears to be taking, i'm not very hopeful that it's going to happen.
interesting also to note the word "He" used at least once, indicating a god made in a man's image
but the reality is that there really is no man or woman, male or female, you or me - it only appears that way to a somewhat obscured mind.
another way of looking at things is through states of on and off (dark and light)
isn't it interesting that that video is really just a manifestation of ons and offs
there appears to be the phenomena of personality and emotions, but really it's just a massive collection of on and off states
personality is an illusion
but don't get me wrong
i'm not bagging the illusion of personality or existence
although i think that's God's way is the best way
and what is Gods way?
certainly not my way
generally-speaking, life was so much better the younger we were - closer to unification with the mother and all other phenomena
going back to the womb, even better
that's why babies cry when they are born - birth sucks
we experience this from the word go, to now
yet we are perpetually giving birth to all kinds of phenomena
and as below, so above
the more separate and personal that we become, the further the separation from The All
just look at how specialized, corporate and greedy we have become, and the consequences that have followed for all life on this planet
all the worthy teachers and saints, echo the words, "deny thyself"
not in a way that leads to depression or misery (actually, that's not really self denial)
but in a way that leads to liberation from, and transcendence of, convention
working backwards through convention, and undoing all of the knots that we have created.
perhaps it could be seen as God wanting to take a vacation
and then after some time you think, "i've had enough of this, there's no place like chilling out at home"
words may help,
but whatever home is, i think it would be indescribable
several times i've experienced bliss, and it is interesting how things that would normally annoy you, are seen in a different light - definitely accompanied by a drop in personality
similar to taking opiates, but without the terrible withdrawal symptoms
the human body, on all levels, was intended for God - the temple of the holy spirit
what are we putting into this body, and mind?
are we fueling God, or are we fueling the self?
