Do the suit. Even splash a little on the mrs to get some new digs. What else are you going to do with money saved from not buying some new stuff. Wife and I were on a cruise for 3 nights round the greek isles - admitedly there were some with no suits but being summer and euro and all they got away with it. Our photos look pretty cool with us all dressed up nice like so worth it for us.
Speaking of which - some advice from the life experienced wise if I may. Going back to europe next year - at some landing in Milan. Wanted to drive down to Naples or thereabouts - further south if time permits. Already see venice florence and pisa so thinking Verona then bologna and then san marino. Anyone ever done something remotely similar? Any advice on what to see. Happy to bypass rome too. Just nice places to swim eat and chillout in is what I'm after.
