    I'm not a GHG alarmist, but you could argue that the coal fired electricity producers, and the gas fired ones to a lesser extent, are 'subsidised' by not having to pay the true economic cost of producing the power.
    If you put a price on carbon then it makes the carbon based electricity more expensive.

    Just saying that maybe we should be paying more for our electricity. For all the wonderful things it does for us, I think electricity is the cheapest miracle source of wonder that we have ever invented.
