Moondoong, my assessment of Alan Jones hasn't changed; to me he's an opinionated windbag!
When shock jocks like him spoke so offensively about and to Julia Gillard I was disgusted. That Gillard reacted so slowly and so limply greatly disappointed me.
Now for all his faults Tony Abbott is currently our PM and is expected to act accordingly. Like Gillard before him, HE should not be allowing himself to be so badly demeaned by the likes of Jones. That HE did so is very revealing of the extent to which Abbott's political star has lost its shine and the extent to which HE has lost his political nerve.
