Seriously, some are trying to create a storm in a tea cup here!

From my understanding Smith had admitted to committing a felony (the recording) whilst under oath during his deposition. The company informed the local police about Smith's illegal actions and he has now been charged with a felony and has faced court a couple of times pleading to a lesser offense but the judge hasn't allowed that. With all the investigations and scrutiny the company have been put through nobody can find any wrong doing or non-compliance whether it be SEC, OSHA or FDA, from my understanding even their own (Smith's team) FDA expert says that UNS are not under any FDA regulations because in fact they only supply components to customers, which goes against some of Smith's non-compliance to FDA regulation claims.

The simple fact here is that Smith's team filed a motion of contempt against Unilife in his case against them, the judge denied the motion but said that Unilife should pay attorney costs due to those points given in the article which will probably only be a few thousand dollars, but the main point here is that the judge denied the motion of contempt.

So back to the recording, I believe when the company listened to it they found that it in fact discredited many of the claims that Smith has made. As I said above, the investigations the company has been through show no wrong doing or non-compliance whether it be SEC,OSHA or FDA, the oppositions own FDA experts opinion has helped UNS not Smith's too. There's not one piece of written evidence being presented in this case just subjective opinion by a disgruntled ex-employee. The signings of Biodel, Sanofi for Unifill, Hikma, MedImmune, Novartis, Ocu-Ject and Sanofi again for wearables all tell a different story, so do the others in the pipeline, to what an ex-employee has been telling, especially as he would have walked away if the company gave in to his demand for compensation originally.

Good luck to him, I believe he may also have to pay UNS's costs in the felony case, which could be a lot higher than what the company (at worst case outcome) might have to cover in loss of salary.

Just my thoughts/opinions, check for yourselves also.
