Chatting with WA Premier Alan Carpenter
Caller Eric says Cazaly Resources is a small WA company hiring WA people to help West Australians, and Rio is a very big international company where most of its profits go overseas. Rio made the mistake by [inaudible] a claim, Cazaly went in and legally staked the claim - he wants to know how Carpenter can state it is in the public's interest to even contemplate handing the claim back to Rio. Carpenter explains this is a matter of great sensitivity which is before Govt for a decision, and he will not get involved in public speculation about which way that decision will go.
