Coit, aido, scaggs and iceman....... Nice posts and i agree with most of the details and certainly the sentiments. My problem is that i just can't see how silex controls their destiny now with only one active development project (commercialization if you prefer) and the other techs now seemingly a sales issue.
It seems like most are content with the new schedule of nothing for 5-10 yrs with maybe little highlights here and there and that is more in line with my expectations. Thats why i hold as declared elsewhere, I think I said a forgotten high risk superfund that may just have huge returns to be revisitied in 10 years, I hope so for all the hard work we put in. My real concern is that the money is not being put in to prepping the technology for immediate rollout when the market is ready, GLE are slowing down, why not continuing at same pace in order to assure the best possible tech rolls out to maximize profits in 10 years. We know for sure that the detailed insides of the first enrichment plant will not look like detailed insides of a plant 50 years down the track, optimization.
My other concern is related to scaggs' comments about a GLE SLX falling out...Who else are they going to sell it too, US DOE/NRC are all over this puppy now, so it woukd have to be a US company and they've already tried and lost USEC. Not only that, the only reason we survived after the USEC split was that we had scientists and engineers on staff to focus, produce results, analyse and intepret those results, and then sell the concept, in the end to GE, I know I was there. I guess he can try that again. But a legal battle with GE will bankrupt silex, arguing about who owns this tech and who owns that now will be messy after 8 years of intertwined research, esp. at $800/hr for one cleared lawyer.
Wait and see i guess, i won't expect much to change, the resounding passing of the remuneration report gaurantees that, but I'll continue to hold and hope that the best tech breakthrough to come out of Oz in a long long time gets commercialized.... Think we all have common ground there
