just loggin onto the market to find out that AGL board have decided to run scared, my personal opinion is that agl board will get significant $'s personally if demerger succeeds, therefore they must personally stop the ALN buy out or aln managment will the boonanza when they roll it into another AIHCA, ... remeber they bought Duke and 9 months latter floated it and now get 3% of revenue for nothing !!! ALN are smarter than AGL, but AGL has more money
just thinking out side the square for a minute ... if agl try to buy aln then theywould be buying 19.9% of their own shares back!! this would be a conflict for ASIC & ASX no doubt ??
