"From my initial post, using the article that claimed it was costing water rate payers around $166 to $200 per year for the desal plant, and the commonly claimed $1.8m daily cost for the desal plant. A simple calculation works out to be the 3.3m to 4m figure I used."
The cost does not matter, the desal plant is producing much-needed water for all Victorians. It has now produced almost a litre of water. Or maybe a pint. Or maybe none at all.
