Yes a director resignation announced at around 4.00pm, plus a big and highly unusual drop of shares into the market at around 11.00am.
Still there was an opportunity for holders to also drop shares in at 0.006 at day trade end if they did not like the idea. None did as far as I can see.
I have not been around MPJ long enough to know anything about this recently departed Director, Mr.
Angus Edgar. His Annual Report summary shows him to be a good broker/finance and fund raiser specialist. That is his experience.
Last director statement showed an interest in 47m shares, and the current 3Z shows an interest in 47m shares. That indicates to me it was unlikely to be this director who sold anything... for the record.
Look at Director, Mr Dehong Yu 110m shares, 55m options.! Now THAT is faith and confidence. Great stuff.
Boards change all the time to suit how they see their immediate future needs. They strengthen in areas where they feel lacking, and drop directors who may not be able to contribute much at this particular point.
A lean and mean and fund preserving Board. Lean and Mean.. and highly focussed and effective.
So it is not a bad thing necessarily. It can be a good thing....
Nobody is "jumping ship". .. except maybe ill-informed shareholders.
He may not be replaced. Or more likely he will be replaced with a Nickel Exploration specialist of some sort..... who may be desperately needed if a big discovery is in the air.
Mr. Hutchison is the only technical specialist (geologist) on the Board so maybe when he talks ultramaffic etc to people at Board Meetings they look at him strangely and he feels isolated. At this point it is technical people needed on the Board, not commerce types, I suggest.
If you have a big discovery, you do not need a fund raising specialist. Investors batter down your door....
So.... I would be wary of jumping to negative conclusions. His re-election was just a standard thing... and besides, his unanimous re-election suggests no friction anywhere.
Relax.... don't panic.... this company is evolving. It is being "managed" to success. Now we just need the easy part to happen... to locate the nickel....
