It is funny how the bears try to use this imaginary 100 year trend yet totally dismiss changing factors along the way-namely people are more wealthy. Heck it was only 50-60 years ago where most families were living on bread and dripping, wearing hand me down clothes and shoes (this happened up until 30 years ago), there was no such thing as a holiday and if you had a new car you were akin to royalty.
Now its pretty more the complete opposite-we have so much food we are battling obesity and throwing tonnes of food in the trash, clothes are now all brand lable, holidyas are expected and overseas the norm and 18 year olds demand a new car for their birthday..
