just beware angel.

there are a fair number of idiots and flat out horrible types who peddle incorrect info on forums - they dont care the carnage they create

and its not just people telling negative stories. there are few people who come to pdn forum who are ridiculously naive and have no idea how stocks are valued.

there is no substitute for teaching yourself.

i lost a lot of money before learning how to make it from the stock market and i would say this

a) technical understanding is vital - if you dont know when the money is pumping in and out of the market you will never make good money
- but that doesnt mean you need to be a day trader or weekly trader.
- its best if you understand both technicals and fundamentals - technicals tell me when to buy, fundamentals tell me how much i can make

b) dont invest large amounts until you abolutely know how to trade (that was my biggest mistake)

c) spend a lot of time researching and a very small amount of time making investments
- the best investors make only a very small number of investments, on investments they believe have very large upside and very low downside.
