Well it was Tony Abbott who promised NO cuts, cuts, cuts; NO new taxes and NO tax increases, a calm government by mature adults. He is the one who promised to give $Billions to big polluters, $Billions to multinational mining companies, $Billions to high income earners able to cash in on FBT and of course $Billions for his rolled gold PPL.
Fifteen months later and Australian's collective blood pressures are headed to the roof due to the denigration of real workers [Abbott calls theses people union thugs - nurses, teachers, ambos and firies], the appalling torture of asylum seekers that is poised to see Australia prosecuted at the UN, Abbott's grossly inequitable budget that robs the poor and delivers for the top end of town and the simultaneous failure to do ANYTHING whatsoever about massive tax avoidance by large corporations.
The leaners, loafers and bludgers in Australia are our corporate tax cheats and company executives whose average remuneration exceeds 70 times that of their workers! And many Australians are increasingly sick and tired of lies from multinational companies like Apple as to why prices have to be so much higher in Australia while others such as News Limited even beat the ATO in court to avoid tax obligations.
