You obviously didn't read the latest PSY announcement properly. They merely stated that they could detect hydrocarbons under laboratory conditions, This means very little. Only when they can accurately detect trace concentrations in field testing will the technology be useful.

PSY also claims that their technology can detect BTEX in fraccing.. The only problem with this plan is that BTEX is no longer used. It makes good press release material but it won't convince anyone in the O&G industry to buy their devices.
