Hi Brickwalls - thanks for your reply.

I'm not sure why you are insisting I am being "obtuse" again with all due respect if you would actually do research on the SK-II brand you may just find you have shot yourself in the foot. Interesting that you stated "Perhaps folk could take a more tempered and considered approach to investing - and a bit of active reading skills could not go astray."
Yet it's being revealed that you have done next to no research on the SK-II brand?

You mentioned that a release in Europe would have cost "significantly more". I can assure you that as far as Europe goes SK-II only has a limited presence in the UK and is only available at Harrods (a singular upmarket department store in London) and "Duty Free Terminal 3" Heathrow Airport. A world release in Europe with a grand total of two stores would have cost "significantly less" then a roll out in Asia in which there are thousands of counters.

SK-II is Procter and Gambles first Asian Home Grown Billion Dollar Brand. Outside of Asia it has a very limited presence. Yet achieves an ever expanding revenue return. Last estimate I have seen is around 1.5B-2B P/A. There is obvious potential for growth in the coming years especially with the rise of the middle class in Asia. Not to mention an entry into the European Market and expansion into the USA.

SK-II's Significant markets: (Note the Asian dominance)

I don't think there is any need for an "argument" to where SK-II's "Global revenue" comes from. With a little research quite clearly the overwhelming majority is coming from Asia. You seem to have in part made an investment decision because you believed that we would not see "global revenue" for some time - on the other hand I was one of many smiling when it was announced that we would see the product released in China, Hong Kong, Japan and Taiwan in the near future. China of course population 1.3 Billion with an ever expanding middle class. Hong Kong, Japan and Taiwan account for 157 Million people. Then theres South Korea with 50 Million. Point being is these countries account for the majority of SK-II's "global revenue". I place an estimate that at least 80% of SK-II's "Global Revenue" comes from the Asian Market, the countries which "SK-II Magnetic Eye Care" will be available in the coming months would contribute significantly to that number. As addressed but to finish there is a very limited presence outside of Asia. Don't underestimate the Asian Market and the established SK-II brand.

Glad the surfs going well - stay out of trouble!
