Alan Joyce a genius?

Wow, SP is doing well and good luck to all that hold. I still have mine and like db mentioned, mine were acquired through staff reward programs when we used to make Billion $$$ profits. I might have to cash them in post $3.50 if we get that far. Was going to give them to the tin lids in a few years, probably still will. What's 30K here or there?

Pretty interesting times and it seems everyone is quick to call Joycey Boy a hero, a genius. Well I will just throw my comment in, IMO the big turn around is mostly tipped on the back of falling oil prices thus cheaper fuel. THIS IS KEY. Some slash and burn activity will also help but I still maintain that our fleet choice over the last ten years has been appalling. Interestingly, I was told at work the other day that Qantas International is no longer picking up Jetsar's fuel bill so that is also key. QF should never have been paying for Jetstar fuel in the first place but as we know, it would have fallen over long ago had QF not been paying.

Just some thoughts, mainly wanted to say that I think Joycey Boy not the hero that all make him out to be, he is just a lucky man at this point in time as things are falling his way.

Good to see a lot of you posters doing well though. I have even changed my sentiment to buy!
