Nonsense, the US General in charge says all is fine and the war will be won.
Of course I can't remember a general who thought otherwise in any conflict, who wasn't replaced immediately, silenced and career ruined, only to be replaced by a more optimistic general.
The military is just part of the public service. They know who pays their salary and public servants all must please their masters.
The good thing is no matter what happens here, we can repeat it all again with the next ignorant generation.
