Those that claim every lefty is a fan of Saddam seem to forget that Saddam was a dictator for 30 odd years and the US was supportive of him for much of that.
The US even let him put down the Shia revolt after Gulf war 1 because they feared what the Shia majority would do if he was ousted.
Stop the bleating that SH was a brutal dictator like that justifies anything, he was a brutal dictator for a long, long time. The US only decided he was bad and needed replacing when it suited their interests.
