They were forced to because of the speeding ticket and they didn't have an announcement ready. Also from what I heard it was darn hard to draft the announcement due to a lot of CA and non-disclosure agreements. You can actually see that if you read the announcement again.

For example: did you know that AJX was intending to tender for being a supplier of not only chemicals but fully treated cloth? Think about it, they don't have facilities to produce cloth. Did they maybe get a third party on board and co-brand? We don't know anything about this. I have confidence this is well thought through but it was never mentioned which is very unlike AJX. We can only guess what an announcement without restrictions would've looked like.
