I'm not criticising anybody. I'm just suggesting they put away the rose-coloured glasses and become a bit more realistic.

I've no doubt that the guys at UofWA are very smart. The problem is that a) Perth is along way from the action in Silicon Valley. Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea etc b) the big venture capitalists and major corporations generally prefer to deal with the real heavy hitters - Stanford, MIT, Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge etc.

Virtually every major university, electronics and technology company in the world is involved in MEMS research. It literally covers Amazon to Xerox and everyone in between.
