    Dave,
Your enthusiastic reply is very interesting.
Your first, second and third points seem to be the same.

So what do you expect the media to do? Not report it? That is their job, is it not?
So if a bloody great big car bomb went off in Melbourne or somewhere they should just report it and then ignore it for the rest of the day? That is not realistic even if you think terrorists want the publicity. Besides that they get enough publicity on the internet and social media anyway for all the horrible things they do in the world.
Saturation coverage is always done on the media, we live in a 24 hour world now, railing against it won't work. Do you really think that if they bombed some place in Australia and the media did not report it that they would not do it again? I don't think so.

Your forth point. Just because its not a IS flag doesn't mean its not motivated by the same doctrine.
People need to get their facts right. One is the flag of a fascist regime and the other is a written statement of a core religious belief.

Your fifth point: Haven't read all of your posts, what do you mean by irresponsible, and what do you propose as a responsible reaction? Seems this point is related to your first second and third point.

Your sixth point: Seems also to be related to the above first, second, third and fifth point. What is
the media's duty or responsibility? I thought it was to report the news?

    Your seventh point:
This event is portrayed as a muslim act with a big black flag with Islamic writing.
So what are you saying? How would you portray it if you were a reporter? By the way it is Arabic writing not Islamic.
The media excessive coverage taints muslims and creates fear and hate. Even against innocent.
So are you pro-muslim or anti-muslim, I can't figure it out? So are you saying that excessive media coverage creates fear and hate against Muslims. My opinion is that excessive media coverage is a big turn off and you make up your mind about a new event pretty much straight away.
Did you have to remind yourself that not all muslims are fanatical?
No not at all, I have traveled by myself through Muslim countries and can tell you that they aren't.

    Your eighth point:
Eight, the greens, labor and liberal have allowed Australia too get too involved in world events which has placed Australia at risk therefore they share some responsibility.
What are you talking about here? The political parties have allowed Australia to get too involved in world events? Bastards!
