Well if there is money to be made short selling MYR it should be done. IMO Bernie Brooks has even inadvertently encouraged this behavior with many holders claiming he does not like communicating with shareholders. Who would want to be invested in a company that rarely communicates how they business is going. If the share price gets low enough I am sure the vultures will come circling.
However I think you might see more downside. I was watching Your Money Your Call on Sky Business this evening and this guy rang up wanting to know from the panel which company will be booted out of the top ASX 100 to make way for Medibank Private and Myer was floated as a possible contender of losing their top 100 status. It may seem insignificant but if it does happen you are going to see indexed funds dump out of this stock. Testing times for Myer considering consumer sentiment has fallen and unemployment rising.
