Denmor, Tony Abbott's 'stop the boats' crap is a myopic and self-serving political stunt whose purpose was to make him PM.

For self-serving politically opportunist reasons, Abbott deliberately blocked the recommendations of Julia Gillard's 'expert panel' and that after initially pledge to support them. His 'stop the boats' approach has been the most secretive since WW2.

It is most notable for the censorship regime imposed and the damage it has done to our international relations. It has done NOTHING to address the 50 million displaced persons flowing from the West's interference in the Middle East.
