My understanding is that the Garatau project will continue as planned.
Zijin would have got an assurance from the Sth African Govt before investing the millions of dollars into NKP and purchasing shares from Genorah. It would have been sorted at the highest level. These Chinese investors would have done their due diligence long ago.
Note that the two Tubatse farms that the Bengwenyama Tribe has secured from Genorah/NKP also form part of the Anglo/ARM dispute.
Bauba Platinum advised me last month that they would be escalating the Modikwa Deeps dispute with the courts. They were fed up with the uncertainty of tenure and having Anglo/ARM applying pressure for these past years. I refer you to their historic Annual Reports which cover this matter. I suspect that todays announcement re the Garatau farm is the NKP Board ensuring compliance to continuous disclosure.
I am not alarmed re the Garatau Project. A Zijin potential takeover is still on the cards.
Interesting that someone had no hesitation buying one million NKP shares today.
