    you are right however before using INTRALASE you must separate the epithelium layer from the surface of the cornea of an eye. The technology for this now appears to be Epi LASIK and this seems to be the predominate and preferred method in use today.

    However it now appears to be patented by Norwood/Pallikaris and Perez and NAL seems to have all major IP in this area stitched up.
